The Process

Established in 1989, we have over 30 years experience.

Wheel Preparation

Before we can begin to refurbish your wheels, the tyres have to be removed. Old paint and surface coatings are removed to reveal the bare metal of the wheel.

Following stripping, the wheels undergo a thorough blast cleaning process. This essential step removes any ingrained corrosion, stubborn debris, and minor surface imperfections, ensuring a completely clean and keyed substrate.

Any damage to the rim and face of the wheel can now be filled and prepared by our experienced team. The entire wheel is then sanded and smoothed using various different methods, ensuring the surface is perfect before the powder coating process can begin.

Powder Coating

With the wheel prepared, the chosen style of coating can be applied. The wheel is electrostatically charged, then the powder is used to uniformly coat the wheel. This is done in three stages, firstly with a primer coat, then the chosen colour and finally a protective clear coat.

Once the powder has been applied, it needs to be cured at temperature for a short period of time. This ensures the coating adheres properly to the wheel and will last a long time. If this part of the process wasn’t properly done, the coating would flake off. After the wheel has fully cured, it is left to fully cool then inspected for any defects to the finish.

Tyre Fitting & Balancing

Once your set of wheels have fully cured and cooled, the tyres can be refitted using the reverse process of removal. As the tyre won’t be fitted in the exact orientation as it was removed, balancing is essential. We perform full digital wheel balancing on each wheel adding small weights where required. The wheels are now ready to be collected or re-fitted to your vehicle.

There’s More

We also offer cutting, welding and straightening services too

Diamond Cutting

For a premium, high-contrast aesthetic, we offer precision diamond cutting. Following the application of your chosen colour coat, the wheel’s face is meticulously machined. This removes a microscopic layer of metal, leaving a brilliant, reflective bare-aluminum finish. The entire wheel is then sealed with a durable clear lacquer to protect the pristine shine.

Wheel Welding

Cracks on the inner barrel of a wheel are a common result of pothole impacts and can lead to dangerous pressure loss. Our experienced technicians provide a specialist alloy wheel welding service to restore structural integrity. We carefully v-groove and weld the fracture using high-grade materials, ensuring a secure, airtight repair that safely returns your wheel to the road.

Wheel Straightening

Driving over potholes or kerbs can easily cause unsightly buckles and flat spots, leading to steering wheel vibrations and uneven tyre wear. Our professional wheel straightening service utilises specialised hydraulic equipment to precisely manipulate the wheel back into its original, perfectly round shape. Restore your vehicle’s smooth ride, protect your suspension, and extend the lifespan of your tyres.
